Summer Kickoff 2025: Learning, Teamwork, and Adventure in Nerja
From September 16 to 19, 2025, the Nubexx team came together in Nerja, Spain, for our sixth Summer Kickoff — four unforgettable days full of inspiration, learning, and connection. For a fully remote company, moments like these are a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face, strengthen our culture, and recharge as a team.
The week was packed with technical sessions, demos, and workshops designed to spark collaboration and innovation. We explored the latest in AI during a hands-on workshop, shared company insights and updates on projects and clients since our last kickoff and engaged in challenges that encouraged teamwork and creative problem-solving. We also explored new ideas in SAP CAP and BTP, exchanging insights that will shape the months ahead. These sessions reminded us of who we are as a team, what we stand for, and why collaboration, curiosity, and learning are at the heart of everything we do. The work sessions offered a chance to learn from each other and bring fresh ideas back to our daily work.
But beyond the laptops and presentations, the Kickoff had its fun side — filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a bit of adventure. From a team gymkhana full of unexpected challenges to a kayaking trip along the coastline, and a visit to the famous Nerja Caves — complete with a virtual reality experience — we rediscovered the joy of doing things together, away from screens and daily routines.
By the end of the event, we left Nerja with great memories, renewed energy, and a stronger sense of unity. Most importantly, we carried back key learnings: the power of collaboration, the benefit of stepping out of daily routines to reflect on our progress, and the importance of connecting as people — not just colleagues.
These insights will inspire our work, and we look forward to bringing the same energy and creativity to our next Summer Kickoff next year.
